Real Madrid new coach, Zinedine Zidane, has decided not to bring back the club’s loanee, Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea.
Kovacic joined Chelsea on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid last year.
According to Sport Mediaset, Zidane has now decided not to bring back Kovacic to the Santiago Bernabeu because the midfielder is not in his first-team plans for next season.
Zidane lost faith in Kovacic in their final season together, starting the Croatia international just 10 times in the La Liga.
The 46-year-old was reappointed as coach at Real Madrid after the Spanish La Liga giants sacked Santiago Solari on Monday.
Zidane will hope to lead Real Madrid to victory when they tackle Celta Vigo on Saturday in a La Liga fixture.
