Super Eagles coach says lessons learnt after Ghana thrashing

coach Salisu Yusuf has admitted his team have learnt a few good lessons after they were thrashed 4-1 in the Cup final in Cape Coast.

avenged a group game loss to their arch-rivals in fine style after they annihilated the Eagles in the second half after they led 1-0 going into the break.

“It was a good lesson for us,” said Salisu after the final between two long-time rivals.

“We gave away three goals, but overall it was a positive experience for us.

Interestingly, Nigeria did not concede in the games leading up to the final.

They were also unbeaten before the loss to the hosts and defending champions .

Skipper Ikechukwu Ezenwa was voted the best goalkeeper of the tournament and several other players like Olamilekan Adeleye, Afeez Aremu and Peter Eneji caught the eye.
